Today, Western wedding dresses are usually white, though “wedding white” includes creamy shades such as eggshell, ecru and shop ball gowns ivory. The tradition continues today in the form of a white wedding for many people assumed that the white wedding gown is intended to symbolize virginity.

White is the color of purity and virtue and for this reasons you could be forgiven for thinking that wedding dresses were always white. Think of a wedding dress and the bet is that you will think of a magnificent white wedding gown.
